Large gravel paths have been designed around the bandstand
Originally, there was an island in the middle of the Garonne whose surface area varied according to the river's flooding. It hosted fairs and served as a landing point for goods. In the 19th century, the banks were converted into a park. The bandstand is surrounded by long gravel paths (hence its name). After a certain hour, it's the place to be for pétanque players and night owls. It's pleasant to stroll along the dike and watch the river flow by. The parking lot was completely rebuilt in 2023.
