SALMON WELL STREET
This street is home to the house known as the Sénéchal.
This street is well worth a visit, as you'll find the 14th-century Maison du Sénéchal, believed to be the oldest civil house in Agen. It's not open to the public, but the exterior is well worth a look. From rue des Cornières, turn left into rue du Puits du Saumon. You'll notice this majestic facade. You'll realize that the lower part of the building was reserved for servants, while the reception rooms were upstairs. Gothic in style, it has been listed as a Monument Historique since 1913.
