PLACE ARMAND FALLIÈRES
Place with a beautiful English-style park, home to the municipal media library, an ideal starting point for visiting the city of Agen.
Named after former president Armand Fallières, who was born in Mézin, it is a rich source of heritage. Originally an ancient theater, it was a promenade lined with private mansions. It now houses the municipal multimedia library and the former episcopal palace, whose facade was partly destroyed by fire and which Napoleon transformed into a prefecture. Its English-style park is a must-see during Heritage Days. The adjoining courthouse, with its monumental staircase, is framed by the statues of the Law and the Right. It's an ideal starting point for visiting Agen.
