VOILENSAC
The concept of Voilensac is very similar to the association Terre et mer in the kitchen. Michaël Ladet combined his Corsican childhood, exposed to the spray and wind that inflates the sails of boats, with his discovery of leather work on the Larzac, years later. Memories and know-how that have given birth to "a new generation of bags". Michaël Ladet is now a leather goods manufacturer: he manufactures handbags, backpacks, shopping bags, bicycle baskets, luggage... made of leather and sailcloth! Based in Millau, the creator inherited the gestures and expertise of the glovers of yesteryear in the work of noble materials. He cuts, cuts and assembles each part himself. The boat sail - light, resistant and above all waterproof - allows it to have all kinds of fantasies in terms of shapes and colours. It also has an environmental advantage: Michaël Ladet valorizes fabric scraps too small to make a complete sail, in the same way that he recycles decommissioned sails.
