LA REFABRIQUE
Despite an engineering degree, Steve Moullé is more in the vein of the makers, those who do with their hands. Even as a child, he drew and brought his own furniture to life, tinkered with wood collected in the depths of the family garage. La Refabrique, its workshop for the recovery and recycling of antique furniture, is ultimately only a logical continuation of a professional career started in the design offices. Steve Moullé finds his raw material in antique dealers, flea markets, rag dealers, or directly at the homes of his customers who would like to get rid of an old family cupboard, a damaged chest of drawers or a buffet at the end of its life. Only one requirement: the pieces thus collected must be made of solid wood to be restored according to the best practices of cabinet-making. According to his inspiration or the wishes of his clients, the young craftsman transforms them into contemporary furniture, but above all useful, for the home. Steve Moullé is in charge of certain space design projects: kitchens, reception desks or shelving for shops, terraces... He publishes his own creations in small series: rocking animals, bowling, draisiennes, but also nesting tables.
