DENYS-PUECH MUSEUM
Musée Denys-Puech in Rodez, presenting a collection of sculptures and hosting other contemporary exhibitions
Inaugurated in 1910 and renovated in the 1980s, this fine arts museum is essentially devoted to sculpture, and in particular to the works of Denys Puech, who donated the funds to the town and persuaded his painter and engraver friends (Maurice Bompard and Eugène Viala) to do likewise. Temporary exhibitions of contemporary art are held regularly in the basement and upstairs. On the façade, the six bronze dogs by the artist Aurèle illustrate the structure's interest in creation. The museum can be visited on its own or with a guide.
