LES RENCONTRES MUSICALES DE CONQUES
This music festival, which brings together artists from different worlds, takes up its summer quarters in the abbey church of Conques.
On the road to Santiago de Compostela, Conques is a happy marriage between medieval architecture and contemporary art. The famous Abbey of Sainte-Foy and its stained-glass windows, designed by Pierre Soulages, welcomes every summer within its walls, musical encounters that harmoniously combine past and present, melodies of yesterday and today. The event also takes place outside the walls in Saint-Austremoine and even in the cathedral of Rodez in some years.
