FÊTE DE LA CHÂTAIGNE ET DU CIDRE DOUX

Meet on the Place des Arcades to taste chestnuts and cider, during a friendly day animated by folk groups.
Created in the 1960s, this festival is a highlight in the life of the Bastide, which is determined to preserve its traditions. Each year, at the end of October, the bonfires are set up on the Place des Arcades, to roast an average of 800 kg of chestnuts. The tasting is done with a glass of sweet cider in hand (more than 1,000 litres are swallowed during the day) and with music. Folklore groups liven up the day, which also includes a craftsmen's market.
