The castle of Séverac was built on the famous hill of Séverac, which dominates the village
The famous hill of Séverac, which dominates the village, culminates at 817 m. It was on this hill that the castle of Séverac was built, which has belonged to several families over the course of history. The remains that can be seen today, a three-storey building measuring more than 85 m in length, are mainly the legacy of the building that the Duke Louis d'Arpajon had built in 1633: a large gate closed by a drawbridge but also ramparts, curtains, watchtowers. The kitchen and the chapel are the only parts of the castle still in good condition.
