COMITÉ DÉPARTEMENTAL DE LA RANDONNÉE PEDESTRE DU GERS
The Comité Départemental de la Randonnée Pédestre du Gers is an offshoot of the Fédération Française de Randonnée Pédestre. Based in Auch, its mission is to promote and develop hiking in the department. The Comité Départemental is responsible for maintaining and marking hiking trails, in partnership with local authorities. It also participates in the publication of guidebooks and organizes events to showcase the various walking and hiking activities available. It also supports the development of club activities by training instructors and markers. The Comité Départemental provides a downloadable brochure and invites hikers to follow its news. Please note that the GR65 from Saint-Antoine to Codom is temporarily closed, and that users should take care when using roads open to traffic. Finally, when you're on vacation in the Gers, you can occasionally take part in an activity organized by the Comité Départemental or a Gers club, by taking out a Discovery Pass.
