THE ALLEYS OF ETIGNY
Built in 1863, the esplanade's avenues offer ample, partially free parking, making it a convenient place to park in town.
This vast esplanade, built in 1863, leads to the courthouse. It is accessed from Place de la Libération via a stone staircase, in the middle of which stands a statue of Antoine Mégret d'Étigny, Intendant of the Generalitat of Gascony. It is surrounded by two stone lions sculpted by Pierre de Vigan in 1803 and recently restored. Below, on the right, you'll find the former Cordeliers convent and the Maison de Gascogne, a former grain market. The alleyways offer ample parking, partly free of charge, for convenient city parking.
