RYST-DUPEYRON ARMAGNAC
Family house in Condom preserving an age-old tradition of making and maturing the oldest brandy in France
Joseph Dupeyron, a distiller, founded Maison Ryst-Dupeyron in 1905, a family house in the heart of Gascony, to house his elixirs. He has passed on his passion to his lineage for five generations. His great-grandchildren still perpetuate his passion and run the house today. The House can pride itself on being able to offer nearly a hundred vintages of Armagnacs. It is a godsend to be able to offer the vintage of a birth, a marriage or a professional success. Treat yourself to a journey beyond time, to the rhythm of the ageing of these elixirs! If these eaux-de-vie are the prerogative of one year, the blends of 5, 10, 15 and 20 years old better known under the names of V.S.O.P, Napoleon, Hors d'Age and X.O are a great success. They are powerful, complex and fruity. For five generations, the Ryst-Dupeyron family has been working to preserve the letters of nobility of this eau-de-vie so particularly fragrant with only one goal: to maintain its permanent quality. The know-how of the house is based on a rigorous work of selection and breeding. The elaboration and the long maturation of the oldest eau-de-vie in France have thus remained immutable, preserving an age-old tradition. J. Dupeyron, who was already present and awarded a medal at the 1900 Universal Exhibition for his famous Armagnacs, was the inspiration for this policy and this fine tradition. In Condom, in the cellars of the magnificent Cugnac castle, owned by the family, there are still some of these old Armagnacs, this brandy so much praised by d'Artagnan and known worldwide.
