CLOCK TOWER
A square tower that may have served as the bell tower of the village's former church, it is one of the few remaining intact monuments.
The remarkably well-preserved gateway to the charming bastide town of Fourcès dates back to the 13th century. Square in shape, it features an archway and passage under a pointed barrel vault. It appears to be attached to the village's former church and may have served as a bell tower. This passageway provides access to the old parapet walk. The Clock Tower poses a riddle for historians: who is the man depicted on the outer wall? This fortified tower is one of the few monuments left intact by Charles VII's troops in 1488.
