ALONG THE WATER AND THE VINES
Wine estate in Gondrin with a 24 km hiking trail and wine, floc and brandy tasting
Often, in Gascony, the centre of the town is very small, while the municipal territory stretches as far as the eye can see through vineyards and streams... It is therefore a great initiative to honour nature and, with it, the local economic players and the treasures of the local heritage! On the way to the Peyruc wash-house, you will get to know the small stone hut of Lian (view of the Pyrenees) before going alongside the biodynamic wine estate of Bouscas. You will then visit the church of Polignac and the neighbouring estate, before crossing the wash houses of Carreté and Caubet. The ancient wine estate of Guillaman, distinguished by the best wine merchants, continues the visit, just before the Cassou farm (where the duck is king!) and the Ménard estate. A beautiful tour ends with the Tonneteau estate, the Notre-Dame sanctuary, the Lassalle de Batz distillery and the Cassagnoles wine estate! Water in Gondrin is omnipresent in all the hamlets of the village. At every detour, you will find water, be it miraculous, sacred, spring water, swimming water. The water source of life associated with the tasting of wine, floc and the famous brandy that is Armagnac will lead you in a discovery of the five senses along landscapes surrounded by vineyards. The 24 km circuit can be done by bike in 3 hours or by car, and can be spread out over the day with a meal break, or in several stages.
