Armagnacs Samalens which is located in Laujuzan and that was born in 1882 in the region of Bas-Armagnac, produces racy, round and elegant brandies. Its century-old stills, with column or double heating, combined with advanced ageing methods, enable to create modern armagnacs. Its complete range of armagnacs includes VS, VSOP, Napoleon, XO, Vieille Relique, as well as Millésime, Single 8, Single 12 and Single 15. Free guided tours (on reservation preferably for groups) will reveal the distillery and its stills as well as its ageing cellars. They last about an hour and end with a free tasting in the establishment's shop.

Encore une déconvenue avec la maison Samalens… sur l’armagnac rien à dire. Sur la considération vis à vis du client: nulle. Ce 19 août, je vais en toute confiance acheter ma bouteille de vielle relique, ayant eu sur internet confirmation de l’ouverture de la boutique… une heure de route après, grilles fermées, boutique tout aussi fermée au mois d’août… Moi qui croyais qu’avec changement de propriétaire il y aurait un peu plus de professionnalisme. NUL. Tout le monde en vacances et tant pis pour le client qui se fie aux infos d’internet. NUL et re-NUL.
