Classified as a Historic Monument in 1961, the castle of Lavardens presents unique architectural feats such as its towers on trumpets. Its large vaulted rooms, with ochre and brick pavements, provide a showcase for the various exhibitions. Indeed, since 1998, the association organizes temporary and varied exhibitions (2 to 3 exhibitions per year). The themes proposed are diverse and varied, as can be seen in the 2018 programme, which has devoted one exhibition to Perry Taylor's cartoons and another to the art of the santon. In 2019, the art glassware returned for the Triennale des Verriers d'Art. In the year 2000, the Camille Claudel 2000 exhibition was a major milestone for the Château de Lavardens. In March 2020, an exhibition on pigeon houses in the Gers and elsewhere. Another asset of the exhibitions at Château de Lavardens is the sales area which allows you to leave with an original work under your arm. Finally, don't forget that the castle also has fabulous outdoor galleries from which the panoramic view of the countryside is a work in itself.
