ST. LAWRENCE CHURCH
This small village lost in the countryside hides an invaluable treasure: his church! Erigée at the end of the fifteenth century, long after the construction of the fortified city since it is outside, it occupies a beautiful place with its 30 m wide and its 34 m long. Only his 3-arch porch was added to the nineteenth century. It is mainly equipped with an incredible arch in the crosswalk of fully painted warheads. These frescoes painted around 1490 were discovered in 1968. Large and sublime, they represent biblical scenes, one rarely represented: the famous Jessé Tree that is beautifully deploying with its small details. The Church's evangelists and doctors are also distinguished in medallions surrounding the Throne of Grace. On the wall is, under the Christ of the Last Judgment, a Resurrection of the Dead shows the elected representatives to heaven. At the bottom of the next wall, a depiction of hell details the offspring of the damned. In 2013, these frescoes were elevated to classified paintings and the village obtained a scholarship from the Heritage Foundation. This has enabled the roof to be restored and frescoes restored. Don't hesitate to visit this beautiful monument!
