ARQUIZAN CHURCH
Church located on the edge of the hamlet of Arquizan, among the most recent and least typical
Of the "7 churches", it is one of the most recent and least typical. With a higher steeple than most of its sisters, it navigates between Romanesque and Gothic, without multiplying the openings. Seen from the south, the nave is much more beautiful, with its light yellow rendering that responds to the sun in the summer. Situated on the edge of the hamlet of Arquizan, it dominates the cemetery, flanked by a large old coniferous tree. But the hamlet is probably better known for its French Championship in chicken foot throwing than for its humble chapel!
