ST. LAWRENCE CHURCH
Church located in the center of Panjas, with a beautiful Romanesque chevet.
The church of Saint-Laurent stands in the center of Panjas and has a very beautiful chevet in Romanesque style. Built in the 11th century, it suffered the hazards of the Hundred Years War. Only the choir remains, as well as a large nave and a portal of Gothic style rebuilt in the 15th century. In 1980, the octagonal bell tower collapsed. It was rebuilt next to the chevet and it is the only element of the church that is not classified as a historical monument. But the real jewel of this small country church is the 13th century fresco which decorates the choir.
