THE MILL OF RIGUEPEU
Built on the river L, between 1845 and 1849, this water mill worked until the 1930 s and a little during the Second World War to support the population, before finally stopping its activity. We had to wait until 2012 and the hard work of a passionate octogenarian, Yves Bondu, to resume life. Today, the mill produces wheat and buckwheat flour with the raw material purchased to a local producer. His visit is exciting and discover amazing workings. You will enjoy the unique, wood-like montage of Yves Bondu, who has had the right taste to keep the original grinding. With this old renovation, you will find the training of the stone by wooden gear gear, in cormier please, elevators and buckets. An enchanting spectacle, regardless of age in a charming setting. The tamise tamise the crushed products and you can take advantage of it to buy your flour on site: The 80 is white, it leaves the stone to land in the bags, sifted it stays a bit thick and is perfect for cakes!
