MUNICIPAL PARK OF CASTELJALOUX
Park with the remains of the château of the Sires d'Albret, pretty flowerbeds, undergrowth and remarkable trees.
This promenading spot on the banks of the Avance river has been beautifully landscaped. It is dotted with majestic trees (giant sequoia, Dutch lime, flat maple) and flowerbeds, one of which reproduces the town's coat of arms. The château of the Lords of Albret, which once stood in the park, was destroyed in the 17th century. All that remains of the current residence is a Gothic window that has been converted into a doorway. Note the two sculpted heads on which the pointed arch rests.
