16th century brick castle, with a main building and two wings, restored in the early 20th century
It is an all brick castle, with a main building and 2 wings at right-angles to each other, ending in 2 corner pavilions. The first castle, built in the 16th century, must have been on the same level with a lower wall topped by a parapet walk and pierced by an entrance door closing the fourth side of the courtyard. The canopy built in the 19th century by the architect Rocher is a copy of the one that adorns the entrance porch of the Hôtel d'Ulmo in Toulouse. The monumental restoration carried out at the beginning of the 20th century is the work of Pascal Dariès, a mason in Samatan.
