THE COUNT'S CASTLE
Castle in Aurignac, where during the summer, playful workshops are offered to discover the life of the Middle Ages.
Aurignac has preserved, perched on a rocky spur, the vestiges of its fortified past. If you go up high, you can see the ruins of the castle, a stronghold built by the Count of Comminges Bernard V around 1230, and its impressive keep (restored) twenty meters high. Historically a watchtower, it proudly dominates the panorama. An orientation table allows you to read the incredible spectacle offered by the Pyrenees chain. During the summer, fun workshops are offered to learn about life in the Middle Ages.
