In 1852, a quarryman from Aurignac discovered by chance the entrance to a prehistoric shelter containing the bones of large mammals that are now extinct. The Aurignacian Museum exhibits the treasures thus found, witnesses of the life of Homo sapiens who lived in Europe 35 000 years ago! Get ready for a moving encounter with a long forgotten history. Visité aujourd'hui ouverture et gratuite du Musée. Avec un conférencier belle initiative pour cette fête d'automne marche artisanal.
A visiter!!! Une petite boutique carte postale livre et jeux peluches etc ...très intéressant sont en vente.
Très instructif un petit musée pleins d'explications.
Accueil en plus.

Une petite merveille sur une période particulière de la préhistoire. Je conseille la visite avec un guide pour une meilleure approche de l'exposition, et surtout pour la qualité des visites proposées. Des guides qualifiés, un accueil professionnel et agréable, nous avons passé 2h30 entre la visite et la randonnée pour voir l'abri sous roche. La passion des salariés joue sur la valorisation des collections du musée. Merci !

Retour dans le passé où l'homme préhistorique laissé sa trace à Aurignac, lieu arboré, pourvu de chemins où les enfants comme les grands se plongent dans l'histoire, ludique et rafraîchissant.
Pour les amoureux de la nature, je recommande cette visite.
Le musée regorge d'objet et l’accueil y est joviale.

Beau petit musée didactique et synthétique.
Toutefois, la prise en compte des études de David BEGUN serait la bienvenue.
Mais l'abri sous roche est a 2 kms de là, heureusement accessible facilement en auto.
