Small marina on the Canal du Midi, in Avignonet-Lauragais, the only marina located on a motorway area.
It was during the construction of the two seas highway in the 1980s that Port-Lauragais, a small marina on the Canal du Midi, was created. Between the Villefranche-de-Lauragais and Castelnaudary interchanges, it offers the possibility of cruising on the Canal by renting boats without a license. The site is also the starting point (or arrival point) of the cycle path along the canal to Toulouse, a greenway that follows the old towpath for 49 km.
