Renaissance-style house with something enchanting for esoteric enthusiasts to see and feel
This Renaissance-style house was built in 1534 on the site of an ancient Roman watchtower, hence its name Maison des Païens. Traces of the Roman foundations can still be seen in the cellar. It would seem that this place has always had an observation function, and a salt route probably passed through this pass. A magical and sacred place in Alsace, there's something enchanting to see and feel here for esoteric enthusiasts.
