ALSATIAN SEAL MUSEUM
Museum featuring a collection of nearly 2,000 seals, original documents, hundreds of facsimiles...
This original and unusual museum, created by Charles Haudot, a passionate sigillographer from the city of Strasbourg, is housed in a chapel built by Vauban in the late 17th century, the perfect setting for these images depicting the arms or symbolic marks of states, sovereigns, nobles, corporations or even private individuals... The museum houses a collection of almost 2,000 seals, original documents, hundreds of facsimiles and reproductions of shields and gonfanons.
