MOULIN DE CINTEGABELLE
The Cintegabelle mill, perched on a motte castrale, offers breathtaking panoramic views.
This charming windmill rises above the village, on a former motte castrale. It was built between 1789 and 1814, the date is not certain. The panorama is breathtaking: view on the green hills of the Lauragais and the Pyrenean chain which spreads out on the horizon. Cintegabelle is a charming village, at the confluence of the Hers and the Ariège, which offers all the charm of the Midi-toulousain : bricks, church of southern gothic style, octagonal bell tower (a staircase leads to a vaulted room which was used as a prison), sinuous lanes.
