CENTRE MARGUERITE DURAS
A tribute to Marguerite Duras, famous woman of letters and cinema, through an exhibition gathering texts, photos, objects...
With the publication of her first novel Les Impudents in 1943, Marguerite Donnadieu took the pen name of Duras. The famous writer lived in the region during the 1920s. It is logical that an association dedicated to her life and work was created in Duras. It has set up a permanent exhibition called "Toute une vie j'ai écrit", which includes numerous documents (texts, photos, films, personal objects). A fascinating dive into the intimacy of the author of L'amant, Moderato cantabile and Un barrage contre le Pacifique.
