This castle, built in 1579 by order of Pierre de Cheverry, is one of the jewels of Renaissance architecture in Haute-Garonne

Here is one of the jewels of the Renaissance in Haute-Garonne! Laréole was built in 1579 on the orders of Pierre de Cheverry, a pastel merchant, by the architect Dominique Bachelier. It is classified as a historical monument. Its twenty-four hectare park, laid out according to the principles of the French garden, opens onto woods on the hillside and orchards. The whole was saved from ruin by the General Council of the Haute-Garonne. This enchanting setting is open to visitors free of charge: guided tours, exhibitions, shows... A life of castle !

Très très beau château unique en France je crois. Le parc est magnifique, reposant et super bien entretenu. Bravo les jardiniers. De nombreuses activités y sont proposées : concerts, expos, visites etc.
