PIANO CHAVANNE
Vincent Chavanne founded this piano factory in 1981 at L'Union. The company, which is now one of the last French manufacturers, designs grand and upright pianos that are sold worldwide. Its teams of cabinetmakers work with first-class wood, sometimes from the forests of Ariège. The spruce wood soundboard, combined with the German Renner mechanism, gives the instrument an exceptional richness of timbre. 130 to 350 hours of work are required to build a Chavanne piano. The manufactory, renowned for the artisanal quality of its creations, has also developed an electronic system that allows people to play in silence, with headphones on their ears. Most of the pianos of the Toulouse company are sold with this "tool" which preserves the touch of the acoustic piano and guarantees very good digital sounds.
