PARC CLEMENT ADER
Art Deco style park classified as a historical monument in Muret, it presents various steles erected in homage to aviators.
Inaugurated in 1930 by Vincent Auriol, President of the Republic, this small park pays homage to the genius inventor of aviation, Clément Ader, a native of Muret. Various steles in Art Deco style also evoke the aviators of the incredible adventure that was aeronautics: the first to cross the Mediterranean, to fly over the Atlantic and the English Channel, civil or military aviators... Admire the Flight of Icarus, a statue by Paul Landowski (well known for the Christ the Redeemer or Corcovado dominating Rio de Janeiro), 14 meters high!
