Nestled in a valley on the course of the Laudot, the lake of Saint-Ferréol is surrounded by the wooded peaks of the Black Mountain. Built from 1667, this artificial basin is the main reservoir of the Canal du Midi. Its 800 m long dike is classified by the Monuments Historiques. The banks, planted with pine trees, form a beautiful walking area while the resort - since the 1930's - offers a leisure base in fine weather. Below, you will find a museum that tells its history and you can admire waterfalls and water sprays.
