VILLAGE OF SAINT-JULIA
A site above Saint-Félix offering a superb view of the Montagne Noire, a place of installation of a Roman colony
Above Saint-Felix, the village of Saint-Julia is a page of history in itself. Offering a superb view of the Montagne Noire, the site has been inhabited since prehistoric times. A Roman colony was established here, and then it became a medieval city whose moat and 12th century fortifications can still be seen. Contemplate the bell-wall, characteristic of the region, which carries the oldest bell (1396) of Haute-Garonne, discover the houses of the XVIIIth century, a well of the XIXth, the stone mills of the XVIIth... A journey through time.
