A nice little lake ideal for a fishing trip, nestled in a meander of the Canal du Midi
The pretty little lake of Lenclas is a pleasant spot to take a cool dip with the family or to enjoy a spot of fishing. Fed by the Fresquel, a tributary of the Aude, it is nestled in a meander of the Canal du Midi, which cyclists love to ride along. This stretch of water is also a place of pause appreciated by hikers or pilgrims who take the GR 653 (the Via Tolosana leading to Compostela). Two curiosities to see: a bridge-aqueduct and, by following the channel for 500 meters towards the east, a bridge-canal which spans the railway.
