BROUGH SUPERIOR MOTORCYCLES
The Brough SS 100 is a legendary motorcycle. It is the one that Lawrence of Arabia, the famous British writer and officer, has ridden for years - he is credited with 300,000 kilometres on the bike, covered in a decade. This royce motorcycle roll, as the specialist press calls it, was created in England in 1919. But its production did not last long; it was stopped in 1939. However, a Toulouse-based company bought the brand in 2013 and relaunched the manufacture of this emblematic two-wheeler in a modernised version. Brough Superior Motorcycles, based in Saint-Jean, used the expertise of local aeronautical subcontractors to design the titanium chassis; while the engine was developed with the help of a Bayonese company. The new Brough SS 100, assembled from start to finish in Saint John, is produced in small series, and is exported mainly to England, but also to the United States, Australia and Asia.
