TANTE MARGIT
Restaurant-tea room in the Bouquières district offering a fish menu and home-made pastries.
Nestled in one of the old streets of the Bouquières district, this enclave in the heart of Toulouse that gives you the impression of having gone back in time, Tante Margit is a Norwegian restaurant-tea room. Its savoury menu is totally dedicated to salmon, which is offered here in many different ways: in cube, tartar, gravlax, grilled gravlax, filet and even lasagne! The establishment is small, with a few tables on the ground floor and a small room in the basement, lit by a skylight. The welcome is courteous, the atmosphere peaceful, the music pleasant. This is an address to remember if you want to enjoy a plate of salmon at a very reasonable price, but also for a gourmet break at tea time. The house offers delicious home-made pastries, including kvæfjordkake, which in Norwegian means "the best cake in the world"! Please note that due to the success of the shop, reservations are essential at lunchtime.

The desserts are very good and " the best of the monde" as names it Norwegian is surprising, on foot of jazz music.
