Completely renovated address with terrace offering a narrow and creative menu, and an oyster dish to take away.
Le Bazacle has been completely renovated: it is one of the rare bistrots to welcome you on the bank of Garonne, right behind the Place Saint-Pierre where the Canal de Brienne flows into the river. You can either set yourself at a high snack table on the small terrace or in the rustic-chic dining room. Xavier and Benjamin are former professional rugby players and come from a restaurateur family from Toulouse; they welcome you as from breakfast which they serve you - they promise it - "with the newspaper and in a good mood"! They offer you for lunch a restrictive and creative menu renewed every day. The presentation is refined and original: zucchini gazpacho served in a bottle with a straw, long and narrow steak with grilled vegetables served in its pan.... The menu for dinner brings up traditions with some oriental accents: long and narrow beef steak with its vegetables wrap, tuna with sesame, kiwi panacotta... A brunch is offered on Sundays with the help of a special guest chef. Some thing original to be mentioned: Le Bazacle offers in season take-away seafood plates, ready to be eaten on the opposite pavement with view on the dome of La Grave and on the sunsets straight off a post card.
