Le Contre-Pied offering tasty and well prepared dishes near the Carmes market
There are places that touch your heart as soon as you walk through the door. Le Contre-pied is one of them. And why is that? Because it emanates something sincere, real and authentic. The decor is neat but simple. No fuss, no attempt to be trendy. Here, the essence lies in the team at the helm of this bistro-style restaurant - located just a stone's throw from the lively Marché des Carmes - and in the food, of course, which is meticulous and tasty, and the glass that accompanies it. Horse mackerel bihia with seaweed sauce, suckling pig, zucchini and chermoula focaccia, plum financier... It's good, very good. Plus, having a chef behind the stove is a real pleasure!

De l'entrée au dessert nos papilles n'ont cessé de frémir. L'association et la cuisson des légumes dans les plats était juste parfaite. Les desserts étaient succulents, notamment le flan pâtissier avec son praliné et sa pistache.
La serveuse a été très attentionnée, à l'écoute et a su parfaitement nous guider le long de ce voyage gustatif.
Je recommande vivement !
