LA RECYCLETTE
Pauline Monnet is a versatile designer. Photographer, videographer, but also visual artist, she realizes films and video installations for the stage. Since 2013, the young woman has had a new string to her artistic bow. She creates clothes, jewellery and accessories from inner tubes! An eco-responsible approach based on the concept of upcycling, in other words it transforms materials intended for waste disposal into useful and quality products. Passionate about fashion and design, Pauline Monnet works with tubes like soft leather, to give life to skirts, bracelets, necklaces, ties, necklaces.... The texture of the material offers her many possibilities, but the young woman particularly likes to cut from the mass to create patterns as delicate and sophisticated as embroidery. Inspired by many movements and techniques - Art Deco and lace among others - Pauline Monnet makes each of her pieces by hand in her Toulouse workshop.
