The University of Toulouse II abandoned the name Mirail (mirror, in Occitan) in favour of Jean-Jaurès. Nevertheless, the bookstore Études has kept the reference to the name which designates the district in which the Faculty of Letters and Humanities is located. But this does not mean that it is a conservative bookshop! As part of the university's Cultural Factory, it offers the latest scientific works, university textbooks and specialist literature, including publications by the Presses Universitaires du Midi.
