At nightfall, during the long summer evenings, in the courtyard of the Cinémathèque, a giant screen for a movie night.
In 1964, an association of seventh-art enthusiasts founded the Cinémathèque de Toulouse, which has since become France's second-largest film library. The Cinémathèque organizes numerous events throughout the year, including the Cinéma de plein air festival. This summer sees the twentieth edition of this event, which brings together the curious and the passionate. The program extends over two months and features some forty of the great films that have made cinema history. A must-see cultural event for many Toulousans, who enjoy the screenings on long summer evenings in a very special setting: the very courtyard of the Cinémathèque!
