UNIVERSITÉ TOULOUSE II - JEAN-JAURÈS
Founded in 1229, the University of Toulouse is known in the sixteenth century by welcoming prestigious humanists such as Michel Servet, Étienne Dolet or Rabelais. But it was not until 1971 that the University of Human Sciences left the city center to register in the new neighborhood of Mirail. It now has over 25,000 students, distributed in different UFR of History, Arts and Archeology, Languages, Literature and Foreign Civilizations, Letters, Philosophy and Music, Psychology, Science, Spaces and Societies, but also in the Institutes and internal schools. It is also a great place for research in the humanities and social sciences.
