INSTITUT CLAUDIUS REGAUD
The Claudius Regaud Institute is the Centre for Cancer Control in Toulouse. It is a private institution of collective interest, founded in 1923 by Professor Theodore Marie, part of a network of 20 French centres. If he participates in basic research against cancer, the training of doctors, his first mission remains patient care, diagnosis of disease monitoring. At the Institute, advanced technologies are in the service of screening, with a Mammotome since 2001 and a Petscan since 2003. Different departments, surgery and anesthesia, radiation therapy, imaging, biology or medical oncology allow the earliest possible reception of patients affected by the disease. The entire medical organisation is looking to the patient, for the most effective and most difficult care possible. Finally, the Institute is the first establishment in Midi-Pyrénées in 2010 to equip itself with a tomothérapie device, improving the precision of radiotherapy therapy.
