CHURCH OF OUR LADY OF TAURUS
Church erected at the end of the Middle Ages located in Toulouse, remarkable for its triangular gable and its bell tower
Notre-Dame du Taur church was built in the late Middle Ages on the site of the tomb of Saint-Saturnin (or Saint-Sernin), the city's martyred bishop (in 250). Built in the Southern Gothic style, it is easy to spot on the right from the Place du Capitole, on the way up to the Basilica of Saint-Sernin. The church's gabled facade, enhanced by a bell-wall, is typical of Lauragais churches. Inside, a cycle of paintings depicts the martyrdom of Saint Saturnin. The 14th-century frescoes depict Jacob's genealogy. Puget organ case.
