Saint-Pierre-des-Cuisines church dates back to antiquity. As such, it is one of the oldest buildings in the South-West of France. It houses an archaeological crypt, where you can admire the foundations of a5th-century funerary basilica. The current building was constructed between the 11th and 15th centuries, and was listed in the 1970s. It is managed by the Musée Saint-Raymond. This ancient church can be visited regularly. At other times, it serves as an auditorium, seating 400, thanks to its excellent acoustics. Don't miss the many concerts and dance and music auditions held here at the nearby Conservatoire national de région.
