CHATEAU DE LA REYNERIE
The château boasts a sumptuous formal garden, which has been awarded the Jardin Remarkable label
This charming edifice, built of brick on a high terrace, is the Château de la Reynerie, owned by the city of Toulouse. A rare example of a late 18th-century folly, it was built for Jacques Dubarry (and his famous wife, the Countess!). Classically styled, the central body consists of a large circular salon preceded by a vestibule, flanked by two bedrooms with en suite facilities, a dining room and a petit salon. Inside, don't miss the admirably preserved stuccoed decor. Some of the original furnishings are preserved in the Paul Dupuy Museum. The park, wash house and outbuildings complete the ensemble. A sumptuous formal garden has been awarded the Jardin remarquable label.
