Museum featuring a permanent exhibition retracing the period of the Second World War, through period objects.

Modernized, enlarged, refurbished. The museum reopened its doors in spring 2020. Its vocation is to be a place of remembrance and transmission of the key events of the Second World War. The permanent exhibition focuses on two themes: Resistance and Deportation, based on archives, everyday objects and personal accounts. Temporary exhibitions focus on specific moments in history, such as Anatomy of Francoism, on view until September 2024.

Un lieu très intéressant qui nous plonge dans le contexte départemental de la haute Garonne lors de la seconde guerre.
Une immersion à travers ses héros résistants du siècle précédent et des résistants moderne de nos jours qui maintiennent allumé le flambeau des libertés.
Un lieu à visiter avec un esprit de révérence.

Interesting personal stories of the resistance to fascism on an individual level. I especially enjoyed looking at the radio transceiver parachuted by the English for use by the resistance.
