Museum offering a complete panorama of art from Nepal to Japan, through India and Laos

An elegant neo-Moorish villa surrounded by lush vegetation, located near the banks of the Canal du Midi, houses the Museum of Oriental Arts and Egyptian Antiquities. It was Georges Labit (1862-1899) from Toulouse, a great lover of adventure, expeditions and history, who created these extraordinary collections, which were opened to the public in 1893! Among the richest in France, thanks in part to deposits from the Guimet Museum and more recent acquisitions. The visit offers a complete panorama of art from Nepal to Japan, through India and Laos.
