Musée des Arts Précieux Paul-Dupuy in Toulouse, with collections of graphic arts and numerous timepieces

In 1909, art collector Paul Dupuy bought Pierre Besson's former 17th-century mansion to house his graphic and decorative arts collections. After being bequeathed to the French state, the museum was enriched by major donations from Toulouse families such as Édouard Gélis and Rozès de Brousse. Today, it is considered the Cluny of Toulouse. Watches, prints, tapestries, ceramics, furniture... a complete panorama from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. After a long period of rejuvenation, the museum has reopened under the delightful name of Musée des Arts précieux! Among the masterpieces, the automaton built by Jean-Eugène Houdin lets its voice be heard for a singing lesson: a real curiosity!
